Rock County CLC legislative breakfast to be held Friday March 21, 2008
The Rock County Central Labor Council will be holding a legislative breakfast at the Labor Temple in Janesville, WI on Friday, March 21, 2008 at 8 a.m. The meeting will conclude at approximately 11 a.m.
Invited guest speakers will include Governor Jim Doyle, State Senator Judy Robson, State Representative Chuck Benedict, a spokesperson for State Representative Mike Sheridan and other prominent guest speakers.

Workers Memorial Day

Decades of struggle by workers and their
unions have resulted in significant improvements in working
conditions. But the toll of workplace injuries, illnesses
and deaths remains enormous. Each year more than 56,000
workers die from job injuries and illnesses and another 6
million are injured. The unions of the AFL-CIO remember
these workers on April 28, Workers Memorial Day.
